NANUK

The Nanuk workshop targets grade school children from Nunavik’s 14 communities. It instills fundamental maintenance values among the students and emphasizes the importance of living in a healthy, orderly and well-maintained environment.

For the fourth straight year, Nunavik’s English and French grade 5 and 6 students will be welcoming a subject animator for a two-hour interactive workshop. The NANUK workshop is designed to show the students that all of us can help improve our homes and communities, protect our resources and adopt respectful, decent civic behaviour.

At the end of the workshop, students participating in the 2017 Tour will receive a Pivallianiq certificate with an honourable mention, two lead pencils and a pair of glasses  sporting inspirational messages from the Program.

And that’s not all! A few students from each class who stand out for their grades, diligence and good behaviour will be eligible to win a VIP trip to Montreal to see the Canadiens from the Montreal Canadiens Childrens Foundation’s VIP Loge.
